  • I’m physically located on the island of Maui. As I am licensed in the states of California and Hawaii, I can meet remotely with anyone physically within state lines of both those states.

  • I live and provide therapy in Hawaii to meet mental needs of the community. I also provide therapy to residents of California as I still feel very connected to both Northern California (I grew up in San Francisco) and Southern California (I have immediate family in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Riverside). Both states provide a diverse population of folks with mental health needs that I am able to connect with.

  • Yes, I welcome and affirm clients of all gender identities and expressions, including women, men, and those across the gender spectrum. As a cisgender woman, I recognize the importance of finding a therapist who feels like the right fit, especially for clients who identify differently. I have experience working with diverse clients, though I don’t position myself as an expert. My commitment is to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive space for anyone who chooses to work with me.

  • Online therapy is a convenient and effective way to receive therapy. All you need is a good WIFI connection and a device with a camera (phone, laptop, or tablet). I use Simple Practice or Zoom; just sign on and we go from there. It’s HIPAA compliant and private and provides ease for scheduling, less planning time, and less commute time.

  • Your first appointment will be considered an initial session that is a little different from the following weekly/bi-weekly sessions. I will ask a bit about your history (informed by an online intake form you will complete prior to the session), we will establish your therapy goals, and get to know each other to establish trust, safety, and boundaries.

  • I offer limited in-person sessions in Makawao, HI.

  • Please refer to the “Your Investment” tab under the About section.

  • This answer will depend on a lot of factors but primarily depends on your goals, trust in our relationship, and trust in the process. Some clients focus on many goals at once, some clients focus on one at a time. Once goals are established and met, we can discuss if you would like to continue to the practice of somatic therapy to tend to new goals or if you would like to end therapy. Most clients continue and for those that don’t, they know they can return at anytime.

  • A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a written notice that outlines the expected costs of your therapy before you begin services. It’s not a bill—it’s meant to give you clarity and transparency about your potential financial responsibility. The estimate includes things like session fees, frequency of sessions, and the total projected cost of care over time. While the actual cost may change depending on your treatment needs, the GFE helps you plan ahead and avoid surprises. You will receive a GFE at the beginning of your sessions and an updated one annually.
